1. The short version
This site sets no cookies at allunless you accept them. The only thing stored before you choose is nothing; after you choose, your choice itself is kept in your browser's local storage so the banner stops asking.
2. What we would set, if you accept
Accepting loads Google Analytics, which sets cookies to count visits and tell repeat visits apart. We use it to see which pages people actually read.
Declining means the Analytics script is never added to the page. There is no version of this site where it loads and then chooses not to record anything.
3. Changing your mind
Use the Cookie settings link at the bottom of any page to reopen the banner and choose again. Clearing your browser storage for this site has the same effect.
4. The password generator
The generator needs no cookies and works identically whichever choice you make. It never transmits what it generates, with or without analytics enabled.
