2. The password generator
The generator on this site runs entirely in your browser. Passwords are created using your browser's cryptographic random number generator and are never transmitted to us, logged, or stored. We could not tell you what you generated even if you asked. Turning off your network connection does not stop it working, which is the simplest way to confirm this for yourself.
A generated password leaves your device only if you choose to save it into a Captain Password vault while signed in.
3. What this website collects
This site is a brochure and a tool. It has no accounts and no sign-in form.
- Analytics, only if you accept. If you accept cookies we load Google Analytics to understand which pages are read. Decline and the script is never loaded at all — it is not loaded and then told to stay quiet.
- Your cookie choice.Stored in your browser's local storage so we do not ask again. It never leaves your device.
We do not ask for your name or email anywhere on this site, and there is no newsletter, contact form or tracking pixel.
4. The Captain Password app
The vault itself is a separate application at captainpassword.horizech.com, and using it means signing in with a Horizech account. Data you save there — entry names, logins, passwords, website addresses and notes — is stored on Horizech infrastructure so that it can be delivered to your other devices.
Communication with the service is over HTTPS. We do not sell your data, and we do not use the contents of your vault for advertising or profiling.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these, write to [email protected].
If you are in the UK or the EU and believe we have handled your data improperly, you also have the right to complain to your local supervisory authority.
6. Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
